Middle Alabama Area Agency on Aging
2018-2021 Area Plan
Every four years, Middle Alabama Area Agency on Aging (M4A), as well as all other Area Agencies on Aging (AAA), develop a four-year Area Plan. The Area Plan describes the function of Aging and Disability Services at the local AAA, as well as presents relevant demographic trends and outlines the goals and objectives to be achieved over the course of four years.
Each AAA also prepares an annual update called an Annual Operating Plan (AOP) or Annual Operating Element (AOE). Area Plans and AOP/AOE’s are submitted by M4A to the Alabama Department of Senior Services (ADSS), which is Alabama’s State Unit on Aging.
